RANKING

  1. Newly inducted officers shall wear no rank except the Royal Rangers badge on their uniform.
  2. Rank shall be independent of office but by merit and satisfaction of certain requirement and passing appropriate promotion test / examination.
  3. All officers must wear appropriate rank.
  4. Ranking and promotion committee at all levels shall recommend officers due for promotion and the National / Zonal / State command and the center for approval.
  5. For Decoration and disbursement purpose - All uncommissioned ranks should come from the various districts, while from the rank of the 2nd Lieutenant to Colonel should be ranked by the Zonal command, while the rank of the Brigadier General and other commissioned rank should be ranked by the national office.
  6. The Rank of the Major and Lieutenant Colonel is a senior officer, the rank of the Colonel to the General are very senior officers.

PROMOTION

  1. Promotion examination shall be conducted for officers of the same cadre / rank before elevation to the next ranking level.
  2. Promotion examination shall take place every three years.
  3. Officers that pass any promotion examination shall be decorated in their respective State, Zone, and outpost after appropriate documentation, following the laid down procedure for same.
  4. Any junior officers that fail two (2) successive promotional examination shall be considered for promotion based on the years of services.
  5. Any senior ranking officer from the Rank of a Major that fails three (3) successive promotional examination shall retire on the rank, however, if such an officer is exceptional in certain field of endeavor, he / she shall be retained but on the rank of a maximum period of six years subject to necessary recommendations.
  6. Any officers within the state / zone wearing rank that is not approved by the state would pass through the promotion and examinational process to maintain his / her rank at all levels.
  7. Any appointed District Commander without a prior knowledge of the ministry must go through the Outpost Leaders Orientation.
  8. Any appointed District Commander without a prior knowledge of the ministry will use the Rangers officer’s Pin pending ratification of his rank.
  9. All appointed officers shall wear rank as appropriate and by virtue of their appointment after confirmation and due process.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROMOTION

The requirement for promotion and ranking shall include:

  1. Satisfactory performance and contribution.
  2. Stipulated years of active membership service.
  3. Attendance of Leadership courses and other activities cum trainings.
  4. Adequate leadership and followership qualities.
  5. Self-discipline, Self-reliance, etc.
  6. Others as may be required for the desired rank / rank in view.
